A Producer’s Vision
About
A Loren Maxine Production (ALMP) is dedicated to showcasing film, television, and digital content that amplifies the voices of creatives from diverse backgrounds. Founded by Loren Maxine, a Black woman from Queens, NY—the most diverse county in the U.S.—ALMP is committed to promoting positive representation of all minorities in the media. We prioritize hiring a diverse, majority-women crew for every production, creating opportunities for underrepresented creatives. At ALMP, we believe in leveraging available resources to launch careers and fostering networks that build opportunities in an industry that often overlooks our work.
After graduating from college in 2020, Loren Maxine actively networked with anyone she could connect with virtually, seeking guidance on her next steps. In August 2020, she took a bold leap and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming a producer.
Within her first six months in LA, Loren founded the non-profit Generation Networks. Gen. Networks is dedicated to building a welcoming and engaging space for creatives in the entertainment industry to enhance their portfolios, expand their networks, and refine their craft. This marked the beginning of Loren’s journey in producing and empowering other young creatives to tell their stories and create on their own terms.
From this passion, A Loren Maxine Production (ALMP) was born. ALMP is committed to providing opportunities for young creatives who seek a community and platform to pursue their passions and create their own opportunities. The company lives by the quote from Ava DuVernay, “If your dream only includes you, it’s too small.”
